Our mission is to strengthen and diversify the district's funding base through federal, state, and private foundation grants.
The Office of Instruction and Strategic Program Development assists faculty, staff, and administrators with the technical aspects of developing grant proposals in response to the district's strategic priorities.
We are here to assist in the following ways:
1. Interpreting regulations and policies for categorically funded programs
2. Providing oversight for programmatic requirements of grant-funded projects
3. Supporting, monitoring, reporting, and writing proposals for both new and existing grants.
As an accomplished grants administrator and proposal writer, Dean Catherine Prince has worked with Santa Rosa Junior College faculty and administrators to develop ideas for proposals, identify appropriate funding sources, interpret application guidelines, review budget details, and support the final preparation of a multitude of funded grant proposals including the High School Equivalency Program (HEP), Hispanic Serving Institution Program-Title V grant, Student Support Services Trio, NSF CURE, and the Adult Literacy Scholarship program. Cathy has supported SRJC by generating over $10.0 million in program funding for the district and the greater community.
